Filipino Banderitas

The Philippines has such a rich culture I'm really proud about. One tradition are these delicate lace-like artworks made from paper and used to wrap pastillas, a sugar and milk candy. Originally from San Miguel,Bulacan, it is said to be a vanishing art. I believe that we, the youth, shouldn't make that happen. This is a DIY project I want to try soon!

Found these pretty pics from a blog:

I think I link you

I'm sure you know that feeling when you discover a new site that interests you and gets you all excited that you keep browsing through the older posts to see more good reads or lovely pictures.  I would like to share a few good ones I've been going back to.

The online pinboard is your very nifty online inspiration wall.

Craft magazine has always given me a lot of DIY inspiration.

Oh Happy Day! makes me wanna decorate for all occasions.

Interesting reads through  Pinoy Perspectives.

HEMA

We took a three week sojourn to explore Europe together hence, the blog neglect. We left in late October and arrived home last Thursday. While exploring Amsterdam, one store in particular caught our eye, Hema, a homegrown Dutch brand that designs and manufactures a plethora of items ranging from clothing and cosmetics to food and dining items at reasonable prices.

I fell in love with their party materials. Including

these cute floral and plaid print containers

these sunny printed napkins in floral and nature themes

festively packaged apple and strawberry drinks

and their festive party streamers.

And for cleaning up lovely 4 packs of dishtowels for 5 Euro and in a variety of colors.
