On Being Sexy

Being sexy is not about what’s on show, it’s all about suggestion, or insinuation. I’m interested in the way a garment hangs on a woman’s body and the way it moves when she moves.

One Direction: Menswear Done Right

I really would love to know who stylists One Direction work with because I LOVE the looks they're sporting! It's menswear the way I like it. I'd loved if more guys dressed like this, only problem being that I live in the tropics so perhaps only picture number 2 will apply and those suits if they were going to prom or some formal event with air conditioning. Ah well! I still love this style of menswear

Also my current favorite One Direction song which I have been playing over and over.

Style, Easy

Happy 1 to us! :D

There's something about tomboy inspired outfits that I absolutely love. It's chic and easy. Loose shirts, soft polos with pockets, sneakers, shorts, coats and top it off with a hat and you're out the door.

I liked the collapsed beehive look of her hair when I first saw this editorial.

Photos of some really chic girls. I really loved the style and vibes exuded in the first three photos. Posted the last one since I loved the way she wore that denim skirt, hiking it to be a couple of inches above the knee and pairing it with that bright scarf and heels

50s beehives, winged eyes, camel colored coats, jeans and Prada heels. :)
I love the look of jeans and high heels. Heels just glam up a casual pair of jeans.

Grocery Run

You know how people mention that you should have a go to look that isn't sweatpants for when you're in a rush or just need to head out to the store for a head of lettuce or whatever, yeah well this is it.

Chic. Simple. Easy. Perfect.

Anyone could pull similar pieces from their closets

Louis Vuitton F/W 2010 Yey! For Being Feminine

Fashion Week has just started and the clothes for S/S11 will soon be rolling out but before that I want to blog about a collection from F/W10 that I loved and that's the Louis Vuitton Collection. I've been wanting to write about this for ages!

Marc Jacobs brought back a '50s silhouette that was very feminine and gave emphasis to the waist and chest. I loved the sleek ponytails and the long skirts and gowns and even though I'm a fan of bare legs and shorter skirts I loved how the clothes were sexy without the need for miniskirts. Jacobs also used fuller figured and older models (Elle Mcpherson) in the show. Check out the whole collection here.

Here are a couple of shots from the campaign featuring Christy Turlington, Natalia Vodianova and Karen Elson.

L.O.V.E

This is one of, if not my FAVORITE fashion advertisement EVER!! (Ferragamo S/S 2006) It's a bit old I remember first coming across it in high school. BUT I LOVE IT STILL!!! After a computer crash a few years back I hunted all over the Internet to find this image. I love how she's looking at him and he's looking at the camera confident in his posture yet pensive and gentle in his facial expression.

If I had to think up a love story based on this picture it would have a long distance love element. Hence, I think these quotes would accurately capture the feelings of the couple for one another.

Happy Valentine's Day Everybody. May your day be filled with love.

Casual Chic

I've noticed that there's a lot of layering going on in fashion today, but living in a tropical country, layering can only go so far before you start to feel like you're in a sauna. Thus I love it when I come across images of outfits that could work in the tropics yet are still fashionable.

Light layering is key!

I love the color combination that Anna Dela Russo's assistant (girl on the right) wears. Sophisticated European looks can translate to tropical elegance too.
